Russia, Cuba developing projects to produce flour, animal feed - Deputy PM Chernyshenko

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Russia and Cuba are looking into the possibility of implementing projects to produce flour and animal feed as part of their agricultural collaboration, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said on Wednesday at a meeting of the Russia-Cuba intergovernmental commission.

Additionally, approximately 90 Russian companies are interested in supplying meat, dairy, and fish products to Cuba, Chernyshenko said.

Data from agricultural market experts indicate that Russian agro exports to Cuba are still not large, and primarily include chocolate and flour confectioneries, sunflower oil, and several dairy products. There have also been shipments of Russian vodka.
