Equipment malfunction, subsequent fire at Russia's NKNC results in death of 1 person, 50 people injured - SIBUR

KAZAN. March 31 (Interfax) - The fire at PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim (NKNC, part of SIBUR) on Tuesday resulted in the death of one person, and the number of injured has risen to 50, the press service of SIBUR said.

"One person died as a result of equipment malfunction and the subsequent fire. The company's management extends its condolences to the family of the deceased. Support and financial assistance will be provided to his family. Also, at this moment, 50 people with injuries of varying severity are known to have been affected, and they are receiving the necessary medical assistance," the press service said.
