Share of friendly countries in Russia's agricultural exports at 90% - Deputy PM Patrushev

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russia exports agricultural products to more than 160 countries, and friendly countries receive 90% of the total amount, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at a meeting on the development of agricultural exports.

"Russia remains a reliable trading partner, continuing to stably supply agricultural goods and food abroad. Exports exceeded $41 billion in 2025. This includes a 22% increase in sales of fish and seafood, approximately 20% growth in the meat and dairy group, and a 14% increase in supplies of confectionery products. Our country maintains leading positions in the trade of wheat, fish and sunflower oil. And the export geography covers more than 160 countries. At the same time, 90% of the total is directed to friendly countries," Patrushev was quoted as saying by his press service.

The export assortment is systematically expanding, he said. A notable trend last year was a significant growth in supplies of high value-added products. Their amount increased 12% and amounted to $20 billion.

Recalling that the Russian president set the task for the agricultural sector of increasing exports 1.5-fold by 2030 compared to 2021 (which amounts to more than $55 billion), Patrushev said that achieving this target requires the consolidation of efforts by government authorities and business.

Patrushev instructed the Agriculture Ministry to monitor the implementation of export plans. In the current situation, it is important to look for new opportunities to stimulate supplies and diversify the product range, he said.
