Russian cosmonaut Kononenko appointed Cosmonaut Training Center director - Roscosmos CEO

MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax) - Cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko has been appointed head of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov said.

"I am pleased to announce an important personnel decision. Oleg Dmitriyevich Kononenko, our renowned cosmonaut, Hero of Russia, and record-holder who spent 1,111 days on the International Space Station, has been appointed director of the Cosmonaut Training Center," Bakanov said in a video published by the Roscosmos press service on Sunday.
