ASTANA. March 20 (Interfax) - Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) has redistributed management authority within Kazakhstan, the company reported.
Abylay Sadenov has replaced Serik Shakhazhanov as Kazakhstan CEO in a standard corporate reshuffle, EGR said.
Sadenov is a top manager at Eurasian Resources Group (ERG). Prior to his appointment as CEO of the group's Kazakhstan operations, he held senior positions within ERG's structures. His professional career involves the implementation of investment and infrastructure projects, as well as operational management of the group's production assets.
ERG, founded in 2014 on the basis of the assets of Eurasian National Resources Corporation (ENRC), is registered in Luxembourg. The company comprises ferroalloy, iron ore, aluminum, coal, and power generation enterprises in Kazakhstan, as well as controlling copper and cobalt assets in Africa and implementing an iron ore mining project in Brazil.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, ERG owns the Frontier copper production plant and Metalkol, the group's largest facility for processing historically accumulated tailings, which has become one of the world's leading producers of cobalt and a major copper producer. ERG also controls its own supply chain on the African continent through its specialized logistics company, Sabot.
