MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - Ozon has commissioned the first phase of a new fulfillment center in the Kanavino district of Nizhny Novgorod, the company said on Monday.

Currently, the warehouse area exceeds 40,000 square meters of floor space. The warehouse can store more than 10 million items and process up to 180,000 orders per day.

In total, it is planned that three phases of the fulfillment center will be launched, and upon completion the facility's area will exceed 100,000 square meters. Storage capacity will increase to 30 million items and the number of processed orders to more than 780,000 per day. The company plans to launch all three phases by August 2026.

According to Ozon, the total cost of the logistics center, considering all three phases, will be 12.3 billion rubles, including investments from the developer and 4.6 billion rubles from Ozon in the form of investments in equipment and IT infrastructure.

The new logistics facility will improve the efficiency and quality of order delivery to residents of the Volga Federal District, the company said. The fulfillment center will carry out the full cycle of order processing, from receiving goods to forming parcels and transferring them for delivery to customers.

In 2025, the logistics complex received the status of a priority investment project of the Nizhny Novgorod region and receives state support in the form of property tax benefits.

This is the third logistics facility of Ozon Group in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The company has logistics centers with an area of around 40,000 square meters and more than 60,000 square meters, as well as two delivery hubs.

There are more than 1,800 Ozon pickup points in the Nizhny Novgorod region, of which almost 750 are located in Nizhny Novgorod and more than 900 in localities with populations of up to 50,000 people.
