New equipment will allow Miratorg to speed up animal diagnostics almost twofold up to 4 mln tests per year

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - The launch of the seventh robotic complex in the testing laboratory of the Miratorg agroholding in the Bryansk region will allow the holding to significantly speed up the diagnostics of cattle.

"At the moment, the equipment is undergoing the final stage of testing and will be fully put into operation in the coming days. Thanks to the new machinery, the laboratory plans to increase the amount of research conducted from 2.3 million to 4 million tests per year," Miratorg's press release said.

This amount of testing will fully cover the diagnostic needs in the six regions where the beef cattle breeding project is being implemented - in the Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Oryol, Smolensk, Kaluga and Tula regions.

The new equipment is designed to automate the process of aliquoting blood serum - one of the most labor-intensive and critical stages of preparation for PCR testing. Previously, this procedure was performed manually.

Miratorg is consistently developing its own research base. Today, the holding's laboratory unit unites a network of accredited centers that annually confirm their competence in international comparative tests. The company's laboratories conduct a full range of microbiological, physicochemical and serological studies of meat and meat products, feed, raw materials and drinking water, as well as animal health diagnostics using ELISA, HI and PCR methods.

The holding's testing laboratories, including the facilities in the Bryansk region, provide services to agricultural enterprises.

Miratorg was founded in 1995. It includes pig breeding, poultry farming and cattle breeding sites, slaughtering and processing enterprises, production of semi-finished and finished products, a crop farming division and feed mills. The main assets are located in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, Moscow, Oryol, Tula and Smolensk regions.
