Poverty level in Russia falls 0.4 pp to 6.7% in 2025 - dep PM

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - The poverty level in Russia fell to 6.7% in 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said.

"In 2025, and Rosstat will publish the figures this evening, the poverty level was 6.7% and fell 0.4 percentage points compared to 2024," she said at an extended meeting of Labor Ministry officials.

Golikova said one means of support had been the social contract, thanks to which "more than 44% of our citizens have emerged from poverty."
