National Bank of Ukraine weakens reference rate to new all-time low of UAH 44.12/$1

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the hryvnia-dollar reference exchange rate at UAH 44.1156/$1 on March 12, weakening the national currency by nearly 20 kopecks on Wednesday and updating a new all-time low for the second day in a row, Ukrainian media reported, citing the regulator.

The NBU set the official hryvnia-dollar exchange rate for March 12 at UAH 43.9776/$1 on Wednesday, also setting a new all-time low.

Since the start of 2026, the NBU has weakened the hryvnia-dollar reference exchange rate by almost 4.6%, while the official hryvnia-dollar exchange rate has weakened by 3.8% over this time.
