Kremlin interested in implementing North-South int'l transport corridor project
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Moscow, Tehran, and some other regional actors are interested in implementing the North-South international transport corridor project and hope it will be put into practice, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Obviously, it can't be implemented in Iran at the moment. Though, when it comes to Tehran's interest and that of a whole group of regional countries, of course, our interest remains, and we are hoping that this project will continue to be implemented and will be put into practice," Peskov said at a press briefing in response to a question about whether the North-South corridor project might be cut because of the Middle East situation.
A lot has been done, and very good groundwork has been laid for the project, Peskov said.
