Russian agricultural holding Damate boosts exports 25% in 2025 to 29,000 tonnes

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Damate Group, a leading producer of turkey meat in Russia, exported 29,000 tonnes of meat products in 2025, up 25% compared to a year earlier, with the increase in the indicator the result of expanding the geography of supplies and developing sales channels and product range, the group said.

Damate exports turkey, duck and lamb products and deep-processed turkey products. Last year, supplies were launched to eight new countries and export permits were obtained for four more states. The company has the right to export products to more than 60 countries worldwide.

Turkey products continue to drive growth, with more than 24,000 tonnes of meat and by-products exported, the group said. African countries were the main sales market - supplies to this market increased more than twofold. Shipments to Saudi Arabia and the UAE increased 1.6-fold.

Asia remains an important sales market, the group said. Shipments of poultry to China and Hong Kong continue, and supplies to Singapore and the Philippines have begun. In addition, Damate is the only company in the world that exports turkey to Malaysia.

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market became a new area for the group last year. Supplies of turkey to CIS countries increased almost fourfold.

In its export program, Damate is focusing on developing shipments of deep-processed turkey products. They have increased 1.9-fold over the past year. The main sales markets were Africa, the Middle East and the CIS.

The company also said that exports of duck products increased 16% in 2025, to 1,900 tonnes. Supplies to African countries are growing. Last year, shipments began to Togo and the Central African Republic, and an export permit for Cameroon was obtained. China and the Middle East countries remain important sales markets. Shipments to CIS countries increased more than twofold.

Damate also exported lamb. Iran was a traditional buyer. Test batches were sent to Middle Eastern and CIS countries.

The company recalled that it began developing its export direction in 2015. Today, supplies are provided by enterprises in the Penza and Rostov regions, and from Karachay-Cherkessia.

The group is developing several areas of agricultural business. In addition to producing turkey meat, it is engaged in the production of lamb and duck meat as well as dairy farming. Its assets are located in the Penza, Rostov and Tyumen regions, and the North Caucasus Federal District. The group's land bank amounts to around 100,000 hectares in its regions of presence.

Damate produced 268,000 tonnes of turkey in slaughter weight in 2025, up 11% compared to the previous year.
