Inflation in Belarus quickens to 0.6% in Feb

MINSK. March 11 (Interfax) - Consumer price inflation in Belarus quickened slightly to 0.6% in February from 0.5% in January, national statistical committee Belstat said.

Inflation was 1% in January-February.

Annual inflation slowed to 5.6% in February from 6.4% in January.

Core inflation was 0.8% in the two months and 0.5% in February.

Food prices rose 1.4% in 2M, including 0.8% in February. Non-food prices rose 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively, and services grew 1.4% and 0.7%.

Belarus continues to regulate prices for almost all goods in the consumer basket, as well as for basic services.

Inflation in Belarus rose to 6.8% in 2025 from 5.2% in 2024 and 5.8% in 2023. The government plans inflation of 7% or less in 2026.
