Putin congratulates Russian Paralympians on gold medals

MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Russian Paralympians Anastasia Bagiyan and Varvara Voronchikhina on winning gold medals during the games in Milan.

The president's congratulatory telegrams have been published on the Kremlin website.

The Russian female athletes' victories were a triumph and a brilliant performance, Putin said, noting, in particular, that Bagiyan's gold medal made a worthy contribution in the development of the national and world Paralympism.
