RusHydro board of directors appoints CEO for another five years

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - The board of directors of PJSC RusHydro has appointed Viktor Khmarin as the company's CEO, effective March 10, 2026, for a five-year term, the company said.

Khmarin became CEO at RusHydro in January 2021, with his term extended in early February 2026 as an acting CEO until the board of directors decides to elect a sole executive body.

Khmarin joined the company in 2015 as deputy CEO for economics, investments, and procurement, later shifting his responsibilities to resource procurement and future development. Khmarin has served on the RusHydro management board since 2019 and as the company's first deputy CEO since September 2020, and he was acting CEO from November 2020 to January 2021.

RusHydro has more than 60 hydropower plants in Russia, thermal power plants and power grid assets in the country's Far East, as well as power supply companies and research and engineering institutes. The company's power plants, including the Boguchany HPP, have installed capacity of 38.7 GW.

RusHydro's principal shareholder as at the end of September 2023 was the Federal Property Agency (Rosimuschestvo) with 62.2%, while VTB state bank owned 12.37% and En+ Group held 9.64%.
