Lukashenko pardons 18 convicts - order
MINSK. March 5 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed an order pardoning 18 convicts, the First Man's Pool Telegram channel close to the presidential press service said.
"Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed an order pardoning 18 convicts, including 15 persons convicted of extremist crimes," the report said.
Eleven of the pardoned convicts are women, and six of them have children, including disabled children in need of constant rehabilitation.
"Two married couples, a woman in her last term of pregnancy, and a woman who broke the law at the age of 16 have also been pardoned," it said.
According to the First Man's Pool, all of them filed pardon appeals, admitted their guilt and repented, and promised to live "a law-abiding life,"
