TMH structure to supply 15 carriages for Minsk metro by end of 2026 under new contract

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - JSC Metrovagonmash (MVM), which is part of Transmashholding (TMH), and the state enterprise Minsk Metro have signed a new contract for the supply of 15 new Minsk-2024 modern metro cars.

The contract was signed on February 25, 2026, following a tender, TMH said.

The contract amount was not disclosed.

It is planned that the new cars, formed into three five-car trains, will be delivered to the customer by the end of 2026.

Last year, MVM supplied 20 Minsk-2024 metro cars to the Minsk metro. It supplied 28 cars in 2024.

The Metrovagonmash plant, the largest manufacturer of metro cars in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), has been cooperating with the Minsk metro for 40 years. Currently, more than 400 cars are in operation on the Minsk metro, most of which were manufactured by MVM.

TMH is the largest manufacturer of rolling stock for rail transport in Russia. The company's headquarters is located in Moscow. The holding's structure includes production and assembly sites in Russia and other countries around the world, with its geographic reach covering 30 states.
