OPEC+ countries increase oil production quotas by 206,000 bpd in April, next meeting on April 5
MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The eight OPEC+ states have made a decision to increase the oil production quotas by 206,000 barrels per day in April "in view of a steady global economic outlook and current healthy market fundamentals, as reflected in the low oil inventories," the OPEC said in a statement on Sunday.
Having started to return the previously approved restrictions of 1.65 million bpd in October 2025 to the market, the parties to the deal were increasing the quotas by 137,000 bpd, but halted the increase due to the seasonal drop in demand for the first quarter of 2026.
The next meeting of the OPEC+ eight is scheduled for April 5.
