UK increases direct investments in Tajik economy 2.7-fold in 2025
DUSHANBE. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Direct investments from the UK in the economy of Tajikistan totaled $37 million in 2025, the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
The UK invested $13.8 million in the country's economy in 2024. As such, the figure grew 2.7-fold last year.
The committee reported that the UK accounted for 7.3% of the total direct foreign investments received by Tajikistan in 2025.
As before, the largest volume of direct foreign investments last year came from China, from which Tajikistan received $294.1 million. The U.S. ranked second with $81.9 million and Russia third with $37.8 million. The UK was in fourth place.
