Over 70% of Russians view Russia as economically, technologically developed country - poll
MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Almost three-quarters of Russians (73%) believe they currently live in an economically and technologically developed country, as follows from a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM).
Fifteen percent of respondents hold the opposite opinion, while the remaining 12%, or one in eight, remained undecided, the poll published on the sociological center's official website on Tuesday shows.
More than half of Russians (59%) believe they live in a wealthy country, compared with 37% who shared this opinion at the beginning of 2022, the poll shows.
The proportion of fellow citizens holding the opposite opinion has halved over the past four years, from 46% to 23%, the poll shows.
The poll was conducted from January 30 to February 1, 2026. It surveyed 1,500 respondents aged 18 and over in 97 communities across 51 Russian regions.
