Russia increases molasses exports 2.2-fold in 2025 to $58 mln - Agroexport

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russia exported molasses (a sugar beet processing product) for nearly $58 million in 2025, up 2.2-fold compared to the previous year, while in physical terms, shipments increased 28% to 555,000 tonnes, the Agroexport federal center said, citing expert estimates.

The main export revenue came from supplies to Turkey, at around $39 million. Exports to Estonia amounted to $4 million, exports to Latvia were more than $3.5 million, exports to Egypt stood at more than $2.5 million and exports to Tunisia totaled more than $2 million.

Molasses was also shipped to India and Abkhazia for the first time in 2025, Agroexport said.

The maximum export revenue from this product was recorded in 2022, at $77 million.
