Volume of int'l cargo traffic on Russian Railways network totals 529 mln tonnes in 2025, same as 2024
MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - The volume of international cargo traffic on the Russian Railways network totaled 529 million tonnes in 2025, First Deputy CEO Sergei Pavlov said at the final board meeting.
"Cargo traffic with our key partner, China, continues to grow. Last year, over 186 million tonnes were transported on the Russian Railways network with China. We are committed to increasing the number of regular express container trains running via Zabaikalsk, and should continue to increase the number of trains passing through railway checkpoints," Pavlov said, according to the Russian Railways press service.
The overall volume of international cargo transported on the Russian Railways network exceeded 500 million tonnes in 2024, as previously reported.
