Russia exports beer, rapeseed oil, tobacco products to N. Korea for first time in 2025 - Agroexport
MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Russia expanded its exports of agricultural products to North Korea in 2025 with beer, rapeseed oil and tobacco products, the Agroexport federal center said, citing expert estimates.
Previously, these products had not been supplied to the North Korean market, Agroexport said.
In particular, beer exports amounted to around 30 tonnes worth $20,000, rapeseed oil exports stood at over 310 tonnes worth $340,000, and tobacco product exports totaled over 110 tonnes worth more than $700,000.
Exports of pork by-products to North Korea (which are in high demand in APAC countries for preparing Asian cuisine dishes) amounted to 4,500 tonnes in 2025, which is six times more than in 2024, Agroexport said. Export revenue increased 5.5-fold to over $3.6 million. Russia began supplying these products to the country in 2024.
In January 2026, exports of pork by-products continued, with over 760 tonnes shipped, worth more than $860,000.
