Russia increases live animal exports 1.6-fold to $180 mln in 2025 - Agroexport

MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Russia increased exports of live animals 1.6-fold to almost $180 million according to preliminary data in 2025, and the exports also grew 1.6-fold in weight terms to around 128,000 tonnes, the Agroexport federal center reported.

Most of the export revenue came from cattle exports, which accounted for around $87 million, as well as pigs, which made up around $54 million, and birds, which made up around $21 million.

The statement says that live animal exports from Russia have been growing non-stop since 2021, when they totaled $53 million.

Agroexport also said that the data on exports to the Eurasian Economic Union from the report were for the first 11 months of 2025.
