Ukrainian agricultural exports down 0.8% in Jan - UCAB
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Ukraine exported 5.0 million tonnes of agricultural products in January 2026, down 0.8% from the previous month, Ukrainian media said, citing the Ukrainian AgriBusiness Club (UCAB).
Exports were growing only in the grains segment in the first month of this year, whereas exports of all other products decreased, the analysts said. Corn remains the major export item for now.
According to the experts, exports of grains grew 13% over the month in the structure of agricultural exports in January 2026 and reached 3.4 million tonnes (corn amounted to 83% and wheat to 16%). Meanwhile, exports of oilseeds decreased by 32% to 351,700 tonnes (63% of soybeans, 35% of rapeseed, and 1% of sunflower seeds). Exports of vegetable oils went down 6% to 479,700 tonnes (82% of sunflower oil, 10% of rapeseed oil, and 7% of soy oil), alongside a 32% decline in cake exports to 411,000 tonnes (73% of sunflower cake and 27% of soybean cake), and a 15% decline in exports of other agricultural exports to 349,900 tonnes.
