Russia becomes second largest supplier of chicken wings to China in 2025 - Agroexport

MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - China purchased approximately 34,000 tonnes of chicken wings from Russia worth $81 million in 2025, up 24% in weight and 21% in value compared to the previous year, the Agroexport federal center said, citing data from China's General Administration of Customs.

As a result, Russia became the second largest supplier of chicken wings to China, overtaking Thailand. "In 2024, the situation was the opposite: Thailand supplied 38,800 tonnes to China while Russia supplied 27,000 tonnes," Agroexport said.

In first place is Brazil, which shipped 116,000 tonnes of this product. Thailand closes the top three after Russia with 33,400 tonnes. A further 4,300 tonnes were supplied from Belarus and 4,000 tonnes from Argentina.

Due to consumer preferences, chicken wings are considered a delicacy in China.
