Russian airlines see overall passenger traffic fall 2.5%, domestic down 3.8% in 2025
MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Russian airlines carried 108.9 million passengers in 2025, down 2.5% from 2024, the Federal Air Transport Agency said.
Revenue passenger kilometers fell 0.6% to 284.43 billion RPK and the load factor rose 0.2 pp to 89.5%.
The drop in overall traffic was driven by a 3.8% reduction in passengers on domestic flights, to 81.5 million.
International traffic increased by 1.6% to 27.4 million passenger, with traffic on international non-CIS routes up 8.4% to 17.7 million
Top five carriers Aeroflot , S7, Rossiya, Pobeda and Ural Airlines flew 76.6 million passengers between them, 70.3% of the total, in 2025.
Russian airports handled 214.7 million passengers, down 0.8% from 2024.
