Trade in agricultural products with UAE growing; this trend may continue in 2026 - Russian deputy PM

MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Trade in agricultural products with the UAE is increasing, and this trend may continue in 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said.

"Slowly but surely, the level of trade in food is growing. I hope this trend will continue this year," Patrushev told the Rossiya 1 television channel.

Patrushev did not state the parameters of trade, noting that "the market situation is currently changing." "Our export price for grain has dropped significantly, so we will see which positions will be of greatest interest both for us and for our partners," he said.

Responding to a question about whether all payments for products are in order, Patrushev said, "There are certain problems, but overall the issues are being resolved."

Patrushev is a member of the Russian delegation at the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
