Azerbaijan bans electronic cigarettes

BAKU. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan is banning the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale and use of electronic cigarettes and their components from April 1, 2026.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev approved the relevant amendments to the Law on Tobacco and Tobacco Products.

The Tax Code and Law on Advertising were also amended. Disposable e-cigarettes and e-liquids were removed from the list of excisable goods, and their tax rates have been annulled. Advertising such cigarettes is also prohibited.
