Russia exports $4.3 bln worth of agricultural products to Middle East countries in 2025 - minister
DUBAI. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Russia's exports of agricultural products to Middle East countries amounted to $4.3 billion in 2025, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut said at the opening of the Russian exposition at the Gulfood 2026 international food exhibition in Dubai on Monday.
"Our relations with Middle East countries are steadily developing. Last year, export supplies from Russia amounted to $4.3 billion. And of course, supplies of consumer goods from our producers are increasing," she said.
Middle Eastern countries have very high quality standards and requirements, and Russian producers always strive to meet them, she said.
A separate section at the exhibition is represented by halal products, she said. "Russia receives new certifications, new market access approvals every year. In 2025, we received access to four more countries for halal products," she said.
Russia is participating in Gulfood for the eleventh time. The number of participating Russian companies is increasing, this year reaching 140 - the largest number in the history of Russia's participation in the exhibition, Lut said. Around 100 of them are representatives of small and medium-sized businesses who produce and present products for the end consumer.
