PJSC Acron obtains status of economically significant organization

MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The Russian government has added PJSC Acron to the list of economically significant organizations (ESO).

The government decree has been published on the official legal information portal.

ESO status allows, through the courts, for the temporary suspension of the corporate rights of the foreign holding structure in relation to the ESO, for example, to vote at meetings, receive dividends, or dispose of securities and shares. Moreover, it allows Russian beneficiaries to obtain direct ownership of shares and stakes in the companies through the courts, excluding foreign holding companies from the ownership chain.

PJSC Acron is the parent company of Acron Group, which comprises assets in the mining and chemical industries and the production of mineral fertilizer.

Vyacheslav Kantor is Acron's primary beneficiary. Kantor controls the majority of the stake through Luxembourg-based Redbrick Investment S.a.r.l. (34.16%) and JSC Acron Group (11.62%) as at the end of 2025. Another 49.77% of Acron's shares have been held in trust by management through several joint-stock companies since 2022.

JSC Acron Group was included in the first edition of the list of restricted companies, as approved in March 2024. In June of that year, the Moscow Region Arbitration Court upheld the Industry and Trade Ministry's claim to suspend Redbrick Investments' corporate rights in Acron Group.

PJSC Acron resumed dividend payments in 2024 after a two-year hiatus. However, the company is not fulfilling its payment obligations in full (65.8%).
