Chernobyl NPP loses all off-site power supply - IAEA's Grossi

ROME. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ChNPP) has lost all off-site power supply, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said on Tuesday.

"Several Ukrainian electrical substations vital for nuclear safety were affected [...]," Grossi said on X.

"ChNPP lost all off-site power and power lines to other NPPs were also impacted," he said.

"The IAEA is actively following developments in order to assess impact on nuclear safety," Grossi said.
