Senior manager of Grodno Azot heads Uralchem's Berezniki plant in Perm Territory

PERM. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Sergei Silivonik has been appointed director of the branch of United Chemical Company Uralchem - Azot (Berezniki, Perm Territory) from January 20.

Silivonik previously held the position of first deputy general director and chief engineer of JSC Grodno Azot (Belarus), according to a press release from the branch.

Silivonik graduated in 2004 from Belarusian State Technological University, receiving the qualification of an engineer and chemical technologist. In 2018, he completed his studies at the Belarusian Presidential Academy of Public Administration with a degree in economics and enterprise management in industry, becoming an economist and manager.

His career since 2004 has been associated with Grodno Azot, where he started as an evaporation unit operator. In 2014, he headed the ammonia-4 workshop, and in 2018 he became head of the department for the construction of the nitrogen complex. From 2019, Silivonik held the post of chief engineer of the enterprise. From 2021, he served as first deputy general director and chief engineer of JSC Grodno Azot.

Andrei Semenyuk, who previously headed Azot, was appointed the director of the branch of Uralchem in Kirovo-Chepetsk in the Kirov region (KCKHK) on December 26 last year.

Azot produces ammonia, ammonium and sodium nitrate, nitric acid, carbamide, nitrite-nitrate salts and higher aliphatic amines. The enterprise annually produces over 1.1 million tonnes of ammonia, around 1.5 million tonnes of ammonium nitrate and 558,000 tonnes of carbamide.

The production assets of Uralchem include branches in Perm Territory - Azot (Berezniki) and PMU (Perm), a branch in the Kirov region (KCKHK), a branch in the Moscow region (VMU) and Geo NPK LLC in the Kaliningrad region.
