EEC extends duty on stainless steel welded pipes from China for duration of re-investigation

MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has extended the anti-dumping duty on welded pipes, pipes, and hollow sections manufactured from corrosion-resistant/stainless steel originating in China until November 12, 2026.

The anti-dumping duty on welded pipes from China was established in 2021. The rate ranges from 14.62% to 17.28% of the customs value, depending on the manufacturer.

"The applicable measure was scheduled to expire on March 13, 2026. However, the department for internal market protection of the EEC had received an application, following which a repeat anti-dumping investigation was initiated on November 13, 2025," the EEC trade bloc said in a statement.

The repeat investigation must be completed within 12 months of commencement.
