Roscosmos cosmonaut to take command of ISS on Mon - NASA

WASHINGTON. Jan 12 (Interfax) - U.S. astronaut Mike Fincke will pass the command of the International Space Station (ISS) to Russian cosmonaut Sergei Kud-Sverchkov on Monday due to the early return of the Crew 11 mission from the orbital lab to the Earth, NASA said.

The early return is caused by the heath condition of a crewmember developed during a long stay in micro-gravity.

Crew 11 arrived at the ISS by a SpaceX Crew Dragon spaceship on August 2. It comprises NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov.

Once Crew 11 leaves on January 15, there will be just one NASA astronaut left onboard the ISS. The astronaut, Christopher Williams, arrived at the ISS together with Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikayev by Russia's Soyuz MS-28 spaceship on November 27 last year.
