Central Bank of Russia extends suspension of publication of data on foreign payment service providers for another year

MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia has extended the suspension of publication of data on foreign payment service providers (FPP) on its website for a second time, until December 31, 2026, the regulator said.

The Central Bank has maintained a register of FPP and monitored their operations since 2020. The list of FPPs was published until April of last year, when the regulator first decided to conceal the list until the end of December 2024. The Central Bank later announced an extension of the suspension of publication until December 31, 2025.

The list will continue to be maintained despite the suspension, the Central Bank said.

FPP numbered 15 at the beginning of 2025 versus 10 at the beginning of last year, four at the beginning of 2023, and 24 at the beginning of 2022.

The Central Bank has previously concealed data on foreign companies from its website. For example, following a new wave of sanctions, the list of participants in the Central Banks's Financial Messaging System, similar to SWIFT, was hidden in April 2022.
