Philippines allows supplies of pork from Russia into its market
MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - The Philippines has lifted the ban on pork supplies from Russia into the country, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said.
The Philippines' Bureau of Animal Industry recognized the sufficiency of veterinary supervision in Russia and the effectiveness of measures being taken to mitigate the risks of spreading African swine fever.
"The lifting of the ban opens up significant prospects for Russian pork producers, considering the high capacity of the Philippine market and the growing demand for quality meat products," Rosselkhoznadzor said.
At the initial stage, seven Russian enterprises have received the right to export pork to the Philippines.
In September 2025, the Philippines lifted the ban on imports of poultry products from Russia, which had been in effect since 2021. Russia resumed poultry supplies to the country in early December.
