KazTransOil, Transneft conclude agreement for transporting Kazakh oil in 2026
ASTANA. Dec 18 (Interfax) - JSC KazTransOil has concluded an agreement with Russia's PJSC Transneft for transporting Kazakh oil in 2026, KazTransOil's press service said.
The agreement for providing transport services for Kazakh oil in transit mode through Russian territory in 2026 was signed during a working meeting of the companies' delegations on Thursday in Astana.
No details regarding the signed document were provided.
"The joint work of the companies ensures the export of Kazakh oil through Russian territory towards the seaports of Novorossiysk and Ust-Luga and to the Russian-Belarusian border for further transportation to the countries of the European Union, as well as the transit of Russian oil through Kazakh territory," press service said.
The cooperation also covers the issue of supplying oil to oil refineries in Kazakhstan.
JSC KazTransOil is the national operator of main oil pipelines in Kazakhstan, part of the KazMunayGas group of companies.
Transneft is the largest pipeline company in the world and a natural monopoly entity in Russia for transporting oil and petroleum products via main pipelines. It operates over 67,000 km of main pipelines, more than 24 million cubic meters of tank capacity and over 500 pumping stations.
