Kazakh president arrives in Japan on visit

ASTANA. Dec 17 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Japan on an official visit, the presidential press service said in a statement on Wednesday.

Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ayano Kunimitsu welcomed Tokayev at Tokyo's Haneda International Airport.

"Our head of state will hold talks with Emperor Naruhito of Japan and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi tomorrow," the statement said.

As reported, Tokayev's visit to Japan will last until December 20, where he is expected to take part in the Central Asia-Japan summit.
