Ukrainian hryvnia's official exchange rate against euro drops to all-time low of UAH 49.6684/EUR1

MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the hryvnia's official exchange rate against the euro at UAH 49.6684/EUR1 for December 17, marking a slight weakening, by just over 1 kopeck, from the previous day and a new all-time low.

The previous all-time low of UAH 49.6549/EUR1 was recorded on December 16, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from the NBU.

Meanwhile, the hryvnia's official exchange rate against the dollar strengthened by 6 kopecks over the day to UAH 42.1848/$1, it said.

As reported, the U.S. dollar has dropped against the euro since last week after the Federal Reserve cut its benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 3.5% from 3.75%.
