Iran, Kazakhstan companies could form Caspian shipping consortium - Iranian president
ASTANA. Dec 11 (Interfax) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has outlined the most promising areas of a trade and economic partnership with Kazakhstan, the press service of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reported.
"The private sectors of both sides have already identified a number of promising areas for collaboration, such as establishing a joint Iran-Kazakhstan shipping consortium on the Caspian Sea; constructing warehouses and a distribution center for agricultural products at the port of Aktau; establishing a joint food production and packaging plant in Kazakhstan; opening an Iranian construction materials export park in Almaty; and developing collaboration in mineral resources, raw material processing, and regional exports," Pezeshkian said on Thursday at the Kazakhstan-Iran business forum.
Pezeshkian has also supported establishing an Iran-Kazakhstan joint trade council, launching direct flights, simplifying business visa procedures, and hosting trade exhibitions in the two countries.
