Ukraine's imports of goods up 18.5% in 11M 2025, exports down 4% - customs service

MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Ukraine increased imports of goods by 18.5% YoY to $75.4 billion in money terms in January-November 2025, while the country's exports decreased 4.02% YoY to $36.8 billion from $38.3 billion, Ukrainian media reported, citing the Ukrainian State Customs Service.

"At the same time, taxable imports amounted to $57.6 billion, or 76% of the total volume of imported goods. The tax burden per one kilogram of taxable imports stood at $0.52 per kilogram in January-November 2025," the service said.

The countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods were China ($17 billion), Poland ($7.1 billion), and Germany ($5.9 billion).

Most goods from Ukraine were exported to Poland ($4.6 billion in money terms), Turkey at ($2.5 billion), and to Germany ($2.2 billion).

The following categories of goods accounted for 67% of the total volume of goods imported in January-November 2025, including machinery, equipment and transport with $30.2 billion (UAH 185.8 billion was paid to the budget for customs clearance of these goods, or 29% of customs receipts), chemical industry products with $11.4 billion (UAH 89 billion was paid to the budget, or 14% of payment receipts), fuel and energy with $9.4 billion (UAH 188.4 billion, or 29% of customs receipts, was paid).

The three most exported goods from Ukraine were food ($20.4 billion), metals and metal products ($4.3 billion), machinery, equipment and transport ($3.4 billion).

"In 11M 2025, UAH 1.2 billion was paid to the budget during the customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties," the customs service added.
