Ukrainian GDP grows 2.1% YoY in Q3 2025 - State Statistics Service

MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Real GDP in Ukraine grew 2.1% year-on year in the third quarter of 2025 versus 0.8% in Q2 and 0.8% in Q1, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from the State Statistics Service.

Taking the seasonal factor into account, real GDP growth in Q3 stood at 0.8% quarter-on-quarter, while this figure was 0.2% in Q1, the statement said.

As reported, in late October the National Bank of Ukraine cut its GDP growth forecast for Q3 2025 to 2.1% from its earlier estimate of 2.4%. The NBU also cut this forecast for Q4 2025 to 3.4% from its July estimate of 3.5%.

Overall, the NBU reduced its GDP growth forecast for 2025 to 1.9% from 2.1%, citing power shortages, damage to gas production facilities and workforce shortages, but improved its inflation forecast for 2025 from 9.7% to 9.2%, keeping it unchanged at 6.6% for 2026.

As reported, according to State Statistics Service data, GDP growth in Ukraine slowed to 2.9% in 2024 from 5.5% in 2023, after plunging 28.8% in 2022.
