Russia, Mongolia sign program of cooperation until 2030

IRKUTSK. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russia and Mongolia have signed a program for developing cooperation between the countries for the period 2026-2030 at the first forum of Russian and Mongolian regions, an Interfax correspondent reported from the event.

The document was signed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk and Mongolian First Deputy Prime Minister, Economy and National Development Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar.

The agreement includes developing trade and economic and cultural projects between the two states. It envisages over 120 joint events between the regions of Russia and the provinces of Mongolia.

"I am fully confident that these documents will lay the foundation for realizing the entire existing full potential of cooperation between the regions of our two countries," the Mongolian minister said during the meeting of delegation heads at the forum venue.

The Mongolian first deputy prime minister told reporters following the forum's first day that the second forum of regions of the two countries would take place in Mongolia in 2026.
