Russian govt to allocate 16.7 bln rubles to Digital Development Ministry to construct four communications and broadcasting satellites
MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russia's Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Ministry will receive 16.7 billion rubles to design and construct four communications and broadcasting satellites, according to a Russian government instruction.
"In 2025, allocate to the Russian Digital Development Ministry budgetary funds, as provided to the Russian Finance Ministry, under the National Economy section of the Communications and Information Technology subsection of the budget expenditures classification, totaling 16.7 billion rubles for state support of the Space Communications Federal State Unitary Enterprise in order to ensure the construction of communications and broadcasting satellites of the state orbital group for civilian purposes in geostationary orbit, taking into account the required insurance, with a view to concluding contracts for the performance of work on the design, manufacture and commissioning in orbit of four communications and broadcasting satellites and remittance of advance payments," according to the instruction published on the official legal information portal.
