Freight rail tariffs in Russia increase 10% from Dec 1
MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Tariffs for freight rail transportation have been indexed 10% from December 1, 2025.
The corresponding government directive (no. 3100-r) was published on the official portal of legal acts in early November.
In addition, from December 1, tariffs for infrastructure services for long-distance passenger transportation increase 9.6%, and tariffs for long-distance passenger transportation in the regulated segment increase 11.4% (this refers to passenger travel in reserved seat and general carriages on long-distance trains).
The application of a coefficient of 1.1 to tariffs for empty runs of universal rolling stock (including specialized rolling stock equated to it under tariff conditions) and specialized platforms (after the transportation of containers, excluding such runs to/from repair) is envisaged from January 1, 2026.
As reported, from December 1, 2024, freight rail tariffs in Russia were increased 13.8% as part of the planned indexation for 2025.
