Former Ukrainian ambassador to U.S. becomes Zelensky's advisor for restoration and investment
MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has appointed former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova his advisor for restoration and investment, Ukrainian media said, citing Zelensky's statement on a social media.
The executive order was published on the Ukrainian presidential administration's website, the media said, adding that Markarova served as the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States in 2021-2025.
"She is experienced in managing public finance and private capital and in drawing investments. While occupying managerial positions in the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, Markarova established the UkraineInvest government agency and the Startup Support Fund," the media said.
"The advisor will advise the Ukrainian president on issues related to improvement of business climate, enhancement of national financial stability, attraction of investments, and restoration planning together with Ukraine's strategic partners," the media said.
