Soyuz MS-28 spaceship with Russian-U.S. crew docks with ISS

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - The Soyuz MS-28 manned spaceship with a Russian-U.S. crew has arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) and docked with the Rassvet module, Roscosmos said in a stream.

The spaceship took a two-orbit shortcut to the station.

Roscosmos Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikayev and NASA astronaut Christopher Williams operated the spaceship.

A Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle blasted off from Baikonur Area 31 at 12:17 pm on Thursday.

The expedition will spend 242 days in orbit. It will perform two spacewalks under the Russian program.

Astronaut Williams has been transported to the ISS under the cross-flights agreement between Russia and the United States.

Roscosmos and NASA signed an agreement on cross-flights of Russian cosmonauts by U.S. Crew Dragon spaceships and U.S. astronauts by Russian Soyuz MS spaceships under the ISS program in July 2022.
