Russia's Finance Ministry still working on selling Domodedovo Airport as planned - Finance Minister Siluanov

MOSCOW. Nov 26 (Interfax) - The Finance Ministry has not changed plans to sell Domodedovo Airport, of which the Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimuschestvo) assumed ownership this year, and the ministry is working on the deal, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.

"We are working on the plans. We have not adjusted them, and we are taking all necessary steps to fulfill the task," Siluanov told reporters on Wednesday.

As reported, on June 17, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region fully granted the claim of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, which sought to recover 100% of the shares of DME Holding LLC, the owner of the assets of Domodedovo Airport, on behalf of the Russian government. The claim alleged that the airport's beneficiaries, being residents of other states, violated Russian law by managing the assets of an enterprise of strategic importance to the country and channeling its profits abroad.

The companies of the Domodedovo group were transferred to the ownership of Rosimuschestvo on June 19 according to the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE). Andrei Ivanov, who previously served as Russia's deputy of finance minister and first deputy economic development minister, is CEO of the airport's main holding company.

Siluanov in September said that the Finance Ministry was interested in selling the property complex as quickly as possible, though the ministry needed to see whether it was possible to do so before the end of the year.

Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev had previously said that the Finance Ministry would like to sell several assets transferred to the government by court decisions before the end of the year, including Domodedovo. Siluanov on Wednesday declined to comment on specific deadlines when responding to whether the sale of the asset was planned by the end of 2025.
