Primorye doubles soybean harvest in 2025, plan fulfilled 100%

VLADIVOSTOK. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Agricultural producers in the Primorsk Territory have doubled the soybean harvest year-on-year to 425,000 tonnes in 2025, the regional government's press service said.

"Farmers have harvested 249,000 hectares of soybeans overall, fulfilling the plan 100%. There was under fulfilment of sowing last year owing to weather conditions, so farmers this year have harvested twice as much at 425,000 tonnes," the Primorye Agriculture Ministry said.

Meanwhile, the corn harvest continues in the region, with around 80,000 hectares harvested to date, representing 70% of the planned harvest.

Soybeans are Primorye's main agricultural export crop. Most of the harvested beans are processed at the Ussuri Oil and Fat Plant, part of the Rusagro Group , with any surplus shipped to China and South Korea.
