China resumes imports of ice cream from Russia in Oct - Chinese customs service

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - China resumed imports of Russian ice cream in October after a break in September, according to the materials of China's General Administration of Customs.

China purchased ice cream for $16,700, which was the lowest monthly figure for the entire year of 2025, the customs administration said. The largest amount of exports of Russian ice cream to the Chinese market this year occurred in March, at $950,900.

China purchased ice cream from Russia worth $2.2 million in 10M compared to $2.6 million for the same period last year, the customs administration said.

China imported ice cream from 35 countries in January-October. Russia was in seventh place. The largest suppliers were France ($41.5 million), New Zealand ($13.5 million), Spain ($8.6 million) and South Korea ($6.8 million).

As reported, China purchased ice cream from Russia worth $2.7 million in 2024, up 1.4-fold compared to the figure for 2023 ($1.9 million).
